In December 2022, Italy’s iGaming revenue experienced a subtle decline of 2% compared to the previous month, reaching €315.8m. However, there was a 1.2% increase year-on-year, indicating a stable growth trend. Both retail and online sports betting were reflected in this decline, but other products made up for it.

The casino and slots sector experienced an impressive 17% increase, generating €206.1m in revenue in December, compared to €176.1m in November. This led to a dominant increase in market share for casino and slots, while online sports betting lost almost a third of its market share from November.
